Smoothie Bowl


If that sounds weird to you, don't worry, it was to me too, until I tried it. Although you use virtually the same ingredients, a smoothie bowl is thicker than a traditional smoothie with lots of toppings that won't squeeze through a straw, making it the perfect companion for your spoon. Slurp away and enjoy!

Ingredients:

handful of frozen banana pieces (about 1/2 cup)
3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
2 T coffee or 1 shot espresso
1 scoop protein powder
1/2 cup ice cubes

Directions:

Mix everything together in a blender until smooth. Pour into a bowl and add a little more coffee on top, then top with vegan chocolate chips and unsweetened shredded coconut, or a blend of your favorite toppings.
